Getting Here

Access to Ngauwudu Safari Camp can be by road or air.

By road:

If travelling by road the safari camp is located approximately 170kms from Drysdale River Station. Head north past Drysdale River Station approximately 100kms before turning left onto the Mitchell Falls access track. From this turn off you are 70kms from the safari camp.

The access track is windy and rough and travel in places is very slow. Although a beautiful drive, allow a good 2 ½ hours to drive the 70kms.  More detailed instructions to access the safari camp will be provided in your confirmed reservation.

Please note there is no fuel or mechanical services available in the Mitchell Plateau area. Please ensure you fill up at Drysdale River Station.

By air:

The Mitchell Plateau has two excellent gravel airstrips located 5kms from the safari camp. If you are choosing to fly to the Mitchell Plateau please inform us of your arrival time at the time of booking. For any charter service assistance please contact our reservation office.

Please note there is no Avgas or JetA1 fuel available.
